Senaptec Sports Vision Trainer

One of the most important skills for sports, one that many people don't often consider is eye hand coordination and reaction time. Watching the ball, seeing all around you on the field or court, and noticing all the other players and their actions are details that help you to make split second decisions during the course of the game. Here at Bright Eyes Vision Clinic our goal is to help athletes with their visual skills with the aim of improving their game performance through our Senaptec sports vision trainer.

Senaptec Sports Vision Trainer in Minnetonka.

The Senaptec Sports Vision Trainer

One of the most important tools we use in helping to train athletes is the Senaptec Sports Vision Trainer. This device can evaluate and train sensorimotor skills and vision in order to improve physical skills. Almost all of the information sent to the brain is visual, and this trainer fine tunes the way the brain, eyes, and hands work together.

The tool analyzes ten different visual and motor skills that every athlete relies upon, measuring the athlete's ability and suggesting ways of improving each skill. Once the assessment is done, the program will offer a series of exercises designed to improve sports performance.

Skills That Can Improve

This method of vision therapy has had great results in our office, increasing performance in a wide variety of skills. Some of the abilities we see improvement on include:

  • Depth perception
  • Contrast sensitivity
  • Reaction time
  • Adjusting focus between two distances
  • Visual clarity
  • Vision span
  • Tracking multiple objects at the same time
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Split second decision making

Athletes Who Benefit From This Training

Every athlete depends on the pinpoint precision skills that connect the eyes and the hands. Professional athletes rely on vision training to improve their games, and local, amateur athletes now have the same opportunity to use this special training. It can be especially useful for those playing football, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, hockey, soccer, or basketball, but sports vision training can benefit anyone who participates in a sport.
